lookmatic.

like i said recently, it’s that time of year again: new glasses time.

i hadn’t looked at lookmatic‘s selection in a while, but today i was happy to find a couple cat eye-inspired styles, as well as a few more i wouldn’t mind having.

i think i’m set on the tippi, seen at the very top. but i’m also kind of tempted by the shelby (super catty!) and the austin.

the deal clincher? the coupons today on fab: non-rx sunglasses (regularly $65) are $34, and you can snag a pair of prescription frames (regularly $95) for $48. so, you know, if it’s that time of the year for you, too, i’d go check that out.

  1. defne,

i’ve gotten probably eight or nine pairs online over the past few years, and i’ve had luck with all of them except for a couple i received from a single retailer. they were about $12 (with prescription included), so the loss wasn’t much. i’ve also bought $9ish glasses that served me really well.

as yourbestfriend mentioned, lookmatic allows you to try them out, and if they don’t work, you can send them back for free. (plus, i think i saw somewhere where you can try out a pair for 30 days or something.) with warby parker, you can pick out five pairs and they’ll send them to you to try out.

i don’t know how it works for those of you in europe, but you might also check out see by us (http://www.iamagreedygirl.com/2012/07/see-by-us.html), a swedish company.

i’m a big fan of ordering glasses online, so if you have any further questions, just holler! :)
