electric feathers.

who knew someone could need lamé so badly? i sure didn't.

until now. thanks, stuart & wright.

i don't ever use the term sick to describe something really, really neat, but those pants are seriously sick... as the kids would say.

wren.

so i need this.

getaway girl: stockholm, sweden.

greedy girl's pretending to get away to scandinavia this weekend. where do you want to go? wherever it is, have a nice weekend.

+ dress from bensoni
+ tights from fogal (like wine, my choice in tights is based on the labels)
+ boots by swedish hasbeens
+ coat from wilfred (the sherpa collar is removable. if i owned this coat and it wasn't on me at all times, you can bet that collar would be.)
+ clutch from rebecca minkoff
+ bracelet from antik batik

REDvalentino.

aren't these some really gorgeous looks from REDvalentino?

the green coat is everything i've ever wanted and more. now... who's going to buy it for me? (i'll even let you in on the best deal i found: at shopbop for $950. you're welcome.)

loeffler randall.

it's not so often that a pair of shoes really and truly stops me in my tracks. makes my heart race. leaves me feeling incomplete.

but that's what these beauties from loeffler randall have done. really. the most amazing pair of shoes ever created. by anyone. ever.

the flats are nice, too, but WOW. THOSE PUMPS.

christina kober.

of all the fortune cookie finds ever, this necklace has certainly got to be my favorite. i love how the (customizable!) fortune is such a subtle detail in the back.

what would yours say? i'm sitting here looking at my work computer and there are fortunes taped all over the place (it's bad luck to throw them away, you know):

... the finest structure can house the worst evil. (best work fortune ever)
... you are about to embark on a most delightful journey! (exclamation!)
... something wonderful is about to happy. (my favorite, even though i'm still waiting on something to happy)

found thanks to closet kitchen camera, whose story behind the fortune she chose is really sweet.

(find it here.)

a giveaway: dingo boots.

(this giveaway is closed. emily is our lucky winner. please stay tuned for more giveaways. and big thanks to langston's western wear for their generosity!)

i bet you've been wondering where greedy girl's giveaways have gone. me too, my friends. me too. it has been a while.

but, apparently, all it took was a good pair of cowboy boots to light a fire under me. recently i was offered the chance to trot around town in a brand new pair of boots, courtesy of oklahoma city's own langston's western wear.

these people have boots for days. really, that's not an exaggeration. tooled, turquoise, pink, python, quilted, stitched, croc, ostrich—anything you could ever want. (i picked these—called adobe rose by dingo.)

the flagship store down in stockyards city is nearing its 100th (in oklahoma years, that's about six years short of forever), so you know they have some western cred.

anyway. i love my boots. adore them. feel really important in them. don't know how i ever lived without them.

you know that feeling? well, you should. and langston's thinks so, too.

they're kindly offering up a pair of dingo boots (i'll reiterate how much i love mine), men's or women's.

all you have to do is leave a comment here with a way to get in touch with you. (if you want extra entries, like them on the facebook, or follow them on twitter, then let me know that in the comments, too.)

that's pretty simple, right? also, if you're greedy like me and need them right this second, langston's is also offering 15 percent off orders over $50 through nov. 6. just use the code 'greedy.'

happy halloween, friends.

p.s. need a little boot inspiration? my advice is don't go too boho or too cowgirl or too sorority-girl-at-a-texas-wedding. try a splash of sequins, anything girly, some textured tights, a furry dog ring. you get it. essentially, whatever you think cowboy boots don't go with... wear that.

p.p.s. when you head down langston's way, be sure to stop by for some chicken fried steak at cattlemen's, another oklahoma city institution.

getaway girl: taos, n.m.

getaway girl's back this week with a little trip to the mountains. hope y'all have a good weekend.

built by wendy.

hi, built by wendy's fall collection. let's be friends.

(yes, you're right. that first jacket is lined in gold. pure gold.)

everly.

how amazing are these looks from everly? you wouldn't believe it if i told you they're super-affordable, would you? guess you'll have to go see for yourself: the top dress (my favorite) is available here.

forty-four bucks, friends.

visit their blog for other places to buy.

markhed design.

while i'm pretty impressed with the variety in this new-to-me shop, i'm especially obsessed with the night sky sparkling navy blue druzy and sterling silver ring, the amethyst slice necklace (wow!) and the goldrush ring. there's so much sparkle!
