our workshop.

if i could do it all over again, these would be at the top of my school supply shopping list.

but since i would never, ever do it all over again, maybe i need them just because?

fall wishlist, no. 1: remade usa.

top of my list? this hot bag made from an old leather jacket.

one year when i was probably about 8, my back-to-school must-have was a brown bomber jacket. i loved the sheet out of that thing.

and the leather was just like this. maybe it's my jacket reincarnate calling my name all these years later?

etsy (reason no. 4875 they'd be great to work for).

the resemblance between these etsy offices and mine is just UNCANNY. right down to the pbr cooler and wall o' records.

(via unstitched.)

roxy, revisited.

roxy is kind of shocking me all over again.

what? roxy? that roxy? like boardshorts roxy?

same reaction as last time. thanks, caroline, for the reminder.

i'm still loving everything about their new, grown-up look. starting with this top... that i'd kind of like in every color.

have you come across any brands lately that have surprised you? we talked ann taylor loft recently... who else has upped their game lately?

lauren moffatt.

ms. moffatt,

i love your new site. but i love your fall collection even more. and this jacket and glasses combo? pure tartan badass.

please don't stop.

yours,
greedy girl

welcome, pergolina!

it's no secret that i've recently fallen under the spell of los angeles boutique pergolina.

from its selection of bright, exotic textiles (these african rugs and these amazing pakistani quilts, for example) to the shop's ultra-unique homewares (like this fruitwood board and bird feeder from roost), pergolina's offerings are a feast for the eyes. and that's just the online shop. can you imagine what the brick-and-mortar must be like?

so you can see why i'm pretty jazzed to call pergolina my newest sponsor. store owner, paulanna, and her team (bianca, that's you) are super-kind, and i'm very thankful to have discovered this gem of a boutique.

so go check out the shop and, also, the blog. and tell them i sent you!

grazie, paulanna... greedy girl is glad to have you!

p.s. that little party hat-wearing mouse? it kills me. too much. i want one.

burning man.

temple • balloon • brcso, i've booked my flight. it's official. i'll be braving the elements at burning man 2010 with my burner bff holly. she's convincing, that holly. or relentless. i'm not sure which. i think both.

five days in the nevada desert. no bed. no pugs. no joe.

despite all that, i am excited. no, really. i am. really. REALLY.

how crazy am i? yeah. i know. but don't worry. i promise to wear a shirt at all times. probably pants most of the time, too. and my goals? seeing a rainbow. doing absolutely nothing. and getting some sun.

frye.

congratulations, frye. you win the prize for most covetable boots for fall: these over-the-knee beauties. and in eight hard-to-hate colors. (i like eggplant and cognac. and smoke and brown.)

erin flannery.

when i came across the work of erin flannery, i looked at every single piece. over and over again. but i was really, really, really drawn to this series, which combines a variety of media (paint, pencil, etc.) with stitching on linen. amazing, right?

if you're in the area (the area=queensland) this weekend, go check out the final days of her showing at anthea polson art gallery. i certainly would if i could.

oh, and she's quite the stylist, too.

(via frankie magazine's blog.)

castle.

i'm crazy about all the color happening in this australian design shop, starting with this garland. and these pillowcases.

p.s. remember these? i'm still so in love with them. that rachel castle... she's on to something.

mono.

love how light and lovely this is.

ok! ok! i know i said my fall picks were to come... but with this weather (100+), i just can't quite get in the right mindset. they'll start trickling in soon. promise!

mirit weinstock, part two.

... oh! and there are mirit's gorgeous dresses, too.

mirit weinstock.

so, clearly, these necklaces are really lovely. but get this: the designer, merit weinstock, incorporates shuttlecock (as in badminton) feathers into her pieces. you love it. & i love the neon yellow.

dessous by sophie simmons.

these are some seriously pretty panties, wouldn't you say? and check out this one... i love an open back!

(thanks to ill seen, ill said for introducing me.)

the vamoose.

and they do it again.

crazy in love and can't wait for the shop update.

lovely photos here.

happy weekend.

you know how sometimes you just can't put into words how flattered you are? this happens to me all the time. ha. no, but really... it did happen when i realized the city sage had said some super-kind words about greedy girl.

and now i'm happy to have discovered a new blog favorite. (flattery gets you everywhere.)

don't you love these j.crew-meets-home photos anne sage has paired together? i haven't gotten a chance to look through my latest catalog, but after seeing this, it's at the top of my weekend to-do list. and, yes, anne sage, those sequin bloomers (sequins! bloomers!) are pretty extraordinary.

madewell.

while i'd kill to have a couple of each of these (i'm a big fan of a fancy sweatshirt), i think i could also settle for, say, 10 all in gray. i've already started trimming the summer color out of my fall clothes. think gray! and black! and gray!

also, you should know i am doing everything in my power to not show you everything that's on my mind for fall. i keep telling myself, wait, dear child. the time will come.

but, i'm afraid to say that i think aug. 1 is as long as i can hold out. the end of july has always meant the end of summer to me even if it's not going to drop below 95 for another couple of months. so, long story short, i am going to explode corduroy and loafers and wool and boots all over you next week. all i'm saying is get ready.

pretty on a friday.

a few sweet things that have caught my eye lately...

topshop glasses, scarf from esprit (ha! remember them?!), tote from abc kitchen (via eat drink chic)

victoria's secret.

sometimes victoria's secret impresses me.

p.s. i'd like this to be my uniform for fall. i'd look just like that, too.

rae jones.

please!

(via 10 pretty things, pugly pixel's new blog... it's only the beginning, but i already love it.)

jackson, johnson and roe.

if these looks don't make you long for fall, you are crazy.

hopelessly devoted.

don't you love this silk dupion headpiece? i do. as my friend, eli, would say: squee! i am squee-ing all over this.

and, so you know... this line of hair- and headwear is made by the creative ladies behind lingerie favorite hopeless. too talented for their own good, i tell you.

p.s. i need a new sleep mask. i'm thinking this is THE ONE. i love the tiny bows.

(via happiness is...)

forage bow ties.

i was so close to winding down for the night and getting in bed. and THEN i came across this collection of smart little bow ties. i love it. everything about it. all of it.

these vintage french labels. these postcards. the end result.

what i love most? the cute, creative couple behind the whole thing. how can joe and i make that our life?

via oh joy.

zachary's smile.

i'm kind of dying over the fact that i can't get one of these dresses from new-to-me brand zachary's smile.

psst. help a greedy girl out & get a gilt invite here.

pergolina.

some things that i certainly don't need, but definitely want...

well, i could really use the knives. they are great, right?

also, while we're talking kitchen, i'm loving this sake set and this GORGEOUS drink dispenser.

ok, and while we're on the subject of bedrooms (oh, we werent?), i have to have this colorful quilt from pakistan. love. it.

kind boutique half-off vintage sale!

go now for some sweet (& super-affordable) vintage finds from greedy girl sponsor kind boutique... but it only lasts 72 hours, so you know... hurry.

(half-off your order when you buy two or more vintage pieces... just use code vintage at checkout.)

if these were a teeeensy bit smaller, i'd be all over them.

now, go forth and buy vintage.

daeja fallas.

funny small world! as i was clicking around the photographer's site from the my last post, i realized i had actually been waiting to feature these gorgeous shots. AMAZING. i would actually probably kill someone to have that second, sparkly one hanging huge on my wall. just saying.

go here for more on these shots, and go check out some more gorgeous things at the studio's etsy shop.
