a few quick notes...
i am in the emerald city (aka seattle... thank you a thousand times over, rachel thurston)! so sorry about the lack of posting. i've been... well, not posting.
also! head over to the bright side project to win some fun from little brown pen, sophie blackall and also some marc jacobs pomegranate splash! huge thanks to lindsey for 1) working so hard on that, and 2) being patient with me.
a few quick notes...
i think we all agreed that we loved the work of barcelona-based artist judy kaufmann when i featured her 'people' illustration recently. the little people, guys! the little people!
here's what she has to say about her work: I never was interested in economics or law, not even in art, but somewhere amongst my hundreds of notebooks, I began to draw stories of my life, that have transformed me into the girl that carries a ball-point pen in her knapsack.
makes you want to run around barcelona with her, doesn't it? that's precisely why i'm excited to have her on board as a sponsor. and, i have no doubt that the prints you see here will inspire you to go check out the others from her shop. i love how vibrant all of it is... even the black & white illustrations. so rich in character.
speaking of, how much do you love her new 'identical twins' print? I KNOW.
a big, big thank you to judy and also to my wonderful and devoted readers. y'all are nice.
p.s. if you're so inclined, judy also has a pretty amazing and fun portfolio site.

i'm not typically a studded-bag kind of girl... but did you see the bottom of this beauty? and the quilted detail? now, $900... where can i find you?
the one below is a fanny pack of sorts. and i am ok with that.
the last one is pretty, too, yes?

i know my love for peggy wolf is nothing new (i could obsess over her alllmost as much as sophie blackall).
BUT i got really excited when i saw these new-to-me prints.
AND THEN i got even more excited when i saw some of them were buy one (8x12), get one free.
yeah. i am serious.

i've had this shop sitting in my inbox for weeks and weeks, just waiting for me to share it with you. i've been so behind on e-mail (and a thousand other things), but i've finally gotten around to getting through it.
i had gotten in the habit (a rut, actually) of wearing studs all the time. turns out, that gets boring. so i've been upping my girly ante lately with some dangly things.
leslie yang, the designer of the pretty (and bright) pieces above, uses mostly lasercut merino felt (i die every time for gray felt). you like them, don't you?
big belated thanks to jena for letting me know about leslie's work.
i can't wait to snatch up a pair.
[ack! edited to add... take 25 percent off the entire store with code MOM25. thank you, leslie! ... and, girls, don't be greedy. treat your mother while you're at it.]
