gorgeous... and i love how bits in the pink skirt seem metallic, though i don't think they are.

sophie blackall's missed connections: revisited. part 587.

i really do try not to post every time the endlessly talented sophie blackall posts a new missed connection.

but sometimes i can't help it.

and you had to see this one. and this one, too, which i somehow missed last month.

eugenia kim & cynthia vincent for target.

all at one time, target? this is bills week, not drop-it-all-on-target week. let's coordinate better next time, ok?

i thought the first thing on my shopping list this weekend was going to be this eugenia kim hat. but now i've set my sights on these cynthia vincent for target flats. oh, and those wedges.

luckily, i already bought that belt, so i've already saved myself $17 to spend this weekend.

p.s. god bless target for having an easy-to-navigate press site with hi-res images. a thousand times over, thank you for the hi-res images.

gargyle.

i'd just like to say my mind is officially on vacation and probably will be for... well, until i have an actual vacation.

you know that point in 'office space' when berger (he'll aways be berger to me) decides he just doesn't care anymore? that's where i am. not with my job necessarily. just in general.

but, good news for you is, when my mind's on vacation from everything else, blogging gets super-fun. let's see what we can come up with.

karen walker dress and sunglasses; whyred creati-brilliant green heels (holy SHEET i love these)

see by chloe.

this is a ridiculously huge bag, even by my standards, but i love it. it'd make a perfect weekender.

speaking of weekender, i am having the worst time scheduling my seattle trip. it is killing me. we thought we had a weekend set but i can't get off work for it. or for the back-up weekend. i want to scream and cry and yell all at the same time. but i promise, rachel thurston, it will happen soon.

p.s. did you see rachel's home on design*sponge? makes me want to pack up, move to california and find a tiny bungalow. i can't wait til she gets back from her european getaway... oh, the anticipation to see her photos.

my take tuesday.

i'm not saying oklahoma is a sartorial void, but it's not often that i am blown away by someone's look.

but, meet christina. i should mention i did not verify the spelling of her name and i am guessing, so someone please correct me if you know better.

i saw her at lunch this weekend (saturn grill, if you locals were wondering), and i was blown away. like in a staring, probably creepy, kind of way.

right there in the middle of nichols hills, in a sea of coach bags and running pants, she stood out. she oozed cosmopolitan. she was something i'd expect to see from paris on the sartorialist.

so what do you do when you're in the presence of such sophistication? dork out and grab your camera. and so i did. thank you, christina (kristina? xtina?), for being patient and cool.

and, since i hadn't done so in a while, i compiled a few pieces that i think might achieve a similar look. don't forget the lipstick — that was my favorite part. (who can recommend a good matte one, by the way?)

*hers was actually vintage chanel that she got off ebay for — get ready to hate her — five bucks. no lie.
**what? you're tired of me talking about these? (i realize these aren't at all like hers, which i loved and wanted to steal, but i had to get them in just one more time.)

vivienne westwood anglomania.

i think i need it. too good.

marc by marc jacobs.

dear marc,

let's face it. these aren't for everyone. but they are for me. you made them for me. let's make it happen.

xoxo,

trompe l'oeil.

ceci n'est pas un IT bag,* but for $10, i think this tote from forever 21 will do. (via very new-to-me favorite ampersandity.)

(also, adorable raffaello bettini hat and oasis rosalind dress.)

*forgive the french... still working on my rosetta stone (which, i'll add, is amazing).

norma kamali.

it should be said that my love for these looks has a lot to do with the styling. but then, i really really really love the suits.

maybe with these sunglasses?

kansas couture.

again, katy kills me, she is so cute. and her haircut... i die. actually, i think i die everytime she has a new style. my favorite is here (scroll to the bottom), when i didn't even know who ms. kansas couture was.

i look at a lot of pretty sites with lots of pretty clothes and lots of pretty girls. but katy is the only one who really inspires me to try just a little harder.

and i feel a little cooler knowing we have the same shirt (above, though mine's a light yellow plaid).

candystore collective + alyson fox.

love this. love alyson fox.

KIND boutique. (+25 percent off!)

i'm thinking we all need to treat ourselves to something springy... maybe something for your closet? or something for your home?

i've had my eye on these marais espadrilles for a while...

and now, the very kind KIND boutique is offering you greedy girls 25 percent off non-sale items through the end of the month. that is kind, right? just enter GREEDYGIRL.

thank you, erin!

prismera.

some things i'd like from prismera design's anniversary sample sale...

ESPECIALLY that handcuff necklace.

thinking, thinking...

i want it. a lot.

i can't even express how prints make me feel. i love them.

dear creatures.

cute girl, cute looks!

found via hilary, of new-to-me blog if zombies were supermodels.

spool no. 72. (again.)

wait! there's more...

(i tend to do that with this shop... hurriedly post my favorite finds and then realize there's a ton i missed.)

this necklace... sublime.

spool no. 72.

in the summer, i'm strangely drawn to clothes that look like things i would have worn when i was six. summer also makes me want to soak my hair in chlorine water and stain my lips with popsicles.

i'm pretty sure i had, in some incarnation, these looks back then.

ah, summer.

yy studio.

doesn't it look like so much fun?

abc animal poster.

i'm loving this new print from jen oaks featuring oklahoma's animals.

thanks to holly for sending the link my way.

read more about it here.

(also, extra points for jen, who included in the print's description where to get frames to fit... not ikea, thankfully for us oklahomans.)

what's on your nightstand?

just wanted to wish everyone a happy weekend... sorry posting's been sporadic. it's been one of those weeks.

if you haven't already, head over to the goodie life. kate was kind of enough to invite me to join her what's on your nightstand? series. she said really, really nice things about me. i'm blushing just thinking about it.

once you get done reading all about me, take some time to peruse. there are a lot of pretty things happening over there with that kate.

norma kamali.

i'll take both, thanks.

also, this trench from her walmart line (i know).

smallable.

i'd like one of each of these looks.

it's too bad i'm not four.

old gold boutique.

good news! everyone's favorite circus tent ring is back in stock!

billy reid.

this is one of those really unfortunate moments when i wish i could pull anything off. or, even halfway pull anything off.

maybe you could rock this dress for me? (i'll mention it's $82, down from $300something. just saying.)

also, those tights. THOSE TIGHTS.

find me over at prêt à voyager today!

i was BEYOND honored to be asked by anne to participate in her BOARDING PASS series. i've always loved and looked forward to reading of others' journeys. and now i'm in on the action!

hop on over there and check it out!

my exact reaction? oh my god oh my god oh my god.

and then i saw the prices: oh my god oh my god oh my god. i can actually afford one.
