inspired by... 'an education.'

we saw "an education" last weekend, and i can't stop thinking about it. it's easily in my top five of all-time. really. that good. i loved carey mulligan, and peter sarsgaard really cannot be matched. really. go see it this weekend if you haven't already.

camus' the stranger, vintage brown leather school satchel, a.p.c. dress, bensimon elastique, wave dress by langner, fantasia lights*, forever21 clutch, me too peep-toes.

*i don't endorse smoking, but aren't those the prettiest?

  1. When I was 14 or 15 I watched Tank Girl and bought some Fantasias to smoke. They were terrible - but pretty (and a little badass), indeed.

  4. I adore every item, now I have a problem: do I by the bensimon shoes first, or the satchel? Never mind I can't afford either right now...

PS. I ADORE The Stranger, one of my all time favorite novels.

  9. I just saw An Education, and looking through your inspired clothes make me feel inspired too! Lovely little post. Now I have "Sous le Ciel de Paris" stuck in my head and want to wear simply elegant dresses while smoking Fantasias... without the nicotine addiction.

  21. Love this movie. When I was 14 I was presented with a similar situation and thank god my dad had always told me not to get involved with anyone who was more than two years older than me. If they were any older than that and wanted to date me at my age, it just meant that they were losers who couldn't be in a normal relationship. Words of wisdom. It's amazing how many young girls have been in a situation like this.
