the lake & stars.

i'm embarrassed to say i wasn't familiar with the lake & stars until i came across the sale on gilt last week. and, by that time, all of their pretty little rompers had already been snatched up.

go check out their past lookbooks... there's a chance you can still find a piece or two in the gilt sale.

but hurry! what's left of the sale ends at 11 a.m. (cst) monday. enjoy!

still not a gilt member? now you are.

there are some things about myself that i'm just not proud of: ability to sleep hours upon hours AFTER the recommended eight? that's one. the fact i just downed two glasses of eggnog. for breakfast. at 2:30 p.m. that's another. (i think laziness is the common thread here.)

but, also? desperately wanting these rabbit earmuffs. rabbit.

i know, i know. to think a perfectly pink rabbit was slain to benefit my cold, wind-chapped ears. i do hate myself.

a giveaway: dressing on the side.

a couple weeks ago, i received this hilarious t-shirt from the folks at dressing on the side. vegetarians? animal crackers? to be honest, i have no idea. but the lettering and little cracker illustrations were enough to sell me. nom nom.

so, now, i'd love to offer you guys a chance to win one of your own... these are my two favorites (like i said, fan of the lettering), but the winner can choose their favorite from the shop.

just leave your e-mail in the comments anytime between now and friday at 5 p.m. cst.

thank you, and good luck! and a thousand thanks to donna and the folks at dressing on the side for the generous offer!

happy weekend.

i just have to make it through today. i will keep telling myself that.

hope yours is filled with bonfires on the beach.

i got an e-mail today about yosi samra. it was like my shoe prayers had been answered.

metallic. leather. flats.

if you know me, you'll know that — hands down — my favorite pair of shoes is a pewter ballet flat with bronze toe caps. and i've worn them down. way down.

actually, monday, i had one of them a little too close to the space heater at my office, and what do you know? shoes melt.

i've fixed them for now but they are in desperate need of replacements.

and, at $50 a pair, i think i will probably need a few replacements. no?

just thought i would put this out there: how could you not want to wrap yourself up in this quilt?

sadly, it's not available until jan. 8. but, what do you know, that's just in time for my birthday...

i need this, but in like 36x36, not 13x13.
