a giveaway: dressing on the side.

a couple weeks ago, i received this hilarious t-shirt from the folks at dressing on the side. vegetarians? animal crackers? to be honest, i have no idea. but the lettering and little cracker illustrations were enough to sell me. nom nom.
so, now, i'd love to offer you guys a chance to win one of your own... these are my two favorites (like i said, fan of the lettering), but the winner can choose their favorite from the shop.
just leave your e-mail in the comments anytime between now and friday at 5 p.m. cst.
thank you, and good luck! and a thousand thanks to donna and the folks at dressing on the side for the generous offer!
happy weekend.
i just have to make it through today. i will keep telling myself that.
hope yours is filled with bonfires on the beach.

sophie blackall's missed connections: revisited. again.
i know, i know...
but i can't get enough. especially after i watched this (via prêt à voyager). so magical and romantical*.
*romantical seemed appropriate.
yosi samra.
i got an e-mail today about yosi samra. it was like my shoe prayers had been answered.
metallic. leather. flats.
if you know me, you'll know that — hands down — my favorite pair of shoes is a pewter ballet flat with bronze toe caps. and i've worn them down. way down.
actually, monday, i had one of them a little too close to the space heater at my office, and what do you know? shoes melt.
i've fixed them for now but they are in desperate need of replacements.
and, at $50 a pair, i think i will probably need a few replacements. no?
garnet hill.
just thought i would put this out there: how could you not want to wrap yourself up in this quilt?
sadly, it's not available until jan. 8. but, what do you know, that's just in time for my birthday...
happy weekend.
west elm.

i am need of some new bedding. stat. it just occurred to me i haven't gotten new sheets since my last bed, when i downsized to a double. so yes, all of my sheet sets are too big, and i haven't even given them a second thought.
and, right now, i'm using a quilt i've had since FOURTH GRADE. i love it to pieces, and it's more of my cuddle quilt when i'm sick but somehow, it's found a permanent place on my bed these last couple months. DEAR GOD, right?
so... clearly, i've got some work to do. and, my sweet joe's offered to repaint my bed. it's this bed (forgive the image... really, the only one i could find). glossy black.
i. love. my. bed. and i love sleeping in it. so it kills me i've neglected making it an awesome place lately.
so, where do i start? i'm eyeing these two duvets that i absolutely love. strangely, they're way frillier than i am used to, but they just look oh so right...
but, parachute or pin-tuck?

over the weekend kelly and i headed over to the girlie show, which was really nothing short of incredible. i kind of wish i had planned better (kelly — damn her — inspires that) so i could have gotten my christmas shopping out of the way.
i'm also really wishing i'd at least picked up a print of the top robot man. i loved every single piece from this artist.

i swear this calendar madness is almost up. almost*.
i caught a glimpse of this at heysusy. you love it too.
*stay tuned for one more awesome giveaway. and a calendar post or two. thank you to all of you who joined the calendar swap. we ended up with 88 participants... including some readers in switzerland, spain, chile, australia and israel. kelly and i were both pretty excited about the turnout. and i am excited to get a calendar shipped off to my swapmate alissa who has a pretty awesome blog.
