remember when i said i'd never in my life wear toms? because they're ugly? and i don't even care that they 'do good'?
well, today, i eat my words.
THANKS, TOM.

what time? cheap glasses time!
i'm growing tired of my current pair (and am also growing tired of the "aw your glasses match" comment i get constantly when i am with joe. for the record, they are not at all alike).
this time, though... i'm torn between these pairs. i think it might really be the birmingham for my fun pair and the jennifer for my "serious" pair.
what are your thoughts? has anyone followed my cheap glasses recommendation? if you haven't already, here's my early notes on the good sights* for cheap prescriptions.
birmingham | (i apologize because i saved this photo and now i can't find the link on the site) | jane | roxanne | jennifer
*this was by accident but i'm leaving it because it was fitting. get it? SIGHTS. like eyes. and glasses. time for bed.
wouldn't mind snatching up a couple of these for fall. speaking of, what's going on with this 90 degree weather again?

i shot this photo last month in brussels and, since then, i've really developed a girl crush on blondie there. she has my dream hair and she just oozes cool. so i thought i'd take a stab at recreating her look. based on her back side.

dear gargyle:
if we could arrange for these (or, at very least, the shoes. holy shit! those shoes!) to be shipped my way, i'd be ever so grateful.
thanks,
greedy girl

maybe i am getting ahead of myself, but i would really, really like this for winter.
i know it's blazing outside, but i had to share this dress. because it's perfection?

forget anthropologie or kate spade. you need to sign up for kate miss's e-mails.
not only is she the creator of these super sought-after (super sought-after) necklaces, girlfriend's got a good eye for the visuals, too.
i opened up my e-mail to this gem no fewer than four seconds ago and had to share.
if only we could get her to do a paper catalog.
keep being awesome, kate.
how CUTE.
p.s. posting's been sparse, i know. i am in this insane mood to organize my life (corny but so true) and i just can't stop. i expect to get worn out sooner than later.
i haven't been a watch person for a while but these toywatches caught my eye recently. the blue especially.
what kind of watch do you wear? i have a handful of beloved watches from over the years but i'm too lazy to get new batteries for them.

i've been bad about posting, so i thought i'd feed you a little pretty to get you by.
via grain edit. (would love to get my hands on one of these.)
ed note: i feel awful for completely screwing up and not crediting the proper person. i am not sure what ryan boudinot does, but i am sure he is equally talented. to recap: amazing illustration by pietari posti. thanks to may for (knowingly or unknowingly, i am not sure) bringing this to my attention.
i have been waiting years. thank you, wes anderson, for coming through.

i don't know how i haven't come across the work of brooklyn artist sophie blackall before. but tonight i discovered her missed connections blog, which i found lovely and hilarious:
Messages in bottles, smoke signals, letters written in the sand; the modern equivalents are the funny, sad, beautiful, hopeful, hopeless, poetic posts on Missed Connections websites. Every day hundreds of strangers reach out to other strangers on the strength of a glance, a smile or a blue hat. Their messages have the lifespan of a butterfly. I'm trying to pin a few of them down.

i could never pull off (or afford) that balmain, but i'd sell my soul for the chance.
know of something i might like, have a product you'd like featured or just want to send me lovely things?
just e-mail me at cd@iamagreedygirl.com.
