let's discuss.

who knows more about this?

because i love it.

kate miss.

forget anthropologie or kate spade. you need to sign up for kate miss's e-mails.

not only is she the creator of these super sought-after (super sought-after) necklaces, girlfriend's got a good eye for the visuals, too.

i opened up my e-mail to this gem no fewer than four seconds ago and had to share.

if only we could get her to do a paper catalog.

keep being awesome, kate.

gap.

has anyone tried the "new" gap denim?

here are the details on the new fits. my interest is certainly piqued, so i'm looking forward to checking it out.

(the pink cords don't really fit the denim but i really need those, so there they are.)

anna bond.

how CUTE.

p.s. posting's been sparse, i know. i am in this insane mood to organize my life (corny but so true) and i just can't stop. i expect to get worn out sooner than later.

toywatch.

i haven't been a watch person for a while but these toywatches caught my eye recently. the blue especially.

what kind of watch do you wear? i have a handful of beloved watches from over the years but i'm too lazy to get new batteries for them.

back to school.

ryan boudinot. pietari posti.

i've been bad about posting, so i thought i'd feed you a little pretty to get you by.

via grain edit. (would love to get my hands on one of these.)

ed note: i feel awful for completely screwing up and not crediting the proper person. i am not sure what ryan boudinot does, but i am sure he is equally talented. to recap: amazing illustration by pietari posti. thanks to may for (knowingly or unknowingly, i am not sure) bringing this to my attention.

fantastic mr. fox!

i have been waiting years. thank you, wes anderson, for coming through.

toast.

new from toast. sorry, i kind of can't wait for fall.

sophie blackall's missed connections.

i don't know how i haven't come across the work of brooklyn artist sophie blackall before. but tonight i discovered her missed connections blog, which i found lovely and hilarious:

Messages in bottles, smoke signals, letters written in the sand; the modern equivalents are the funny, sad, beautiful, hopeful, hopeless, poetic posts on Missed Connections websites. Every day hundreds of strangers reach out to other strangers on the strength of a glance, a smile or a blue hat. Their messages have the lifespan of a butterfly. I'm trying to pin a few of them down.

i'd love to own this one. funny and pretty. i love.

p.s. this one kills me. i was a purple shirt. i looked offal. killing. me.

jeffrey campbell.

and there goes my heart. jeffrey campbell, you do me so wrong.

capes.

balmain | a.p.c. madras | stella mccartney

i could never pull off (or afford) that balmain, but i'd sell my soul for the chance.

hayden-harnett.

dear hh,

we'd be good together, you and i.

best,
caroline

lucette.

you have no idea what i would do for that capelet. i am considering putting a stop on my rent check right this moment. or selling my kidney. or, easier than all of that, selling myself.

happy friday.

i promise regular posting will resume next week.

until then, enjoy your weekend!

bensimon.

what i most regret not picking up while on vacation was a couple pairs of these ubiquitous-in-paris bensimons.

a bit more chic than the converse of america. and i loved them.

a.p.c.

thanks to a wondrous night and morning of storms, it has yet to break 80 degrees here. that makes fall seem a little more within my reach. and i'd love to rock these looks this fall. i think it's all the plaid, but it reminds me so much of what i wore in junior high.

you dig?

erin jang.

instant love. that type makes me squeal.

winner of europe in a box!

lexie of little boat (cute blog, cute girl!).

judging by allll the entries, you'd think i was giving away christian lacroix. thanks to all of you for being magnificent readers and friends. i feel lucky.

lexie, if you'll just send your details my way, i'll drop your box in the mail. it's small stuffs, but i hope you enjoy.

bruxe & furni.

somewhere amidst the beautiful chairs i saw in paris, i decided that is what is in order: chairs. i can't afford the beautiful things i see in dwr, but i can make a point to pick up a chair here and there. but since i'm fresh out of money, maybe this t-shirt is the place to start.

jumelle.

of course these boots present themselves to me after i've spent all my money. beautiful things, they are. with gold trim and all.

hair.

i think i've found my next must-have style. i love the long wispies in the front.

after being surrounded by beautifully chic people in europe, i'm dead set on a few things: 1) i must lose weight. my sweet boyfriend has been very nice about the whole thing but i'm just growing disgusted with myself. and, carrying an extra 50 pounds around sure didn't help my sore feet from walking all over the place. this is a big source of sadness in my life, and i'd very much like to do away with it. please bear with me if i mention it/whine about it/complain about working out/etc. here and there. and i'd love to hear any tips you might have.

if you haven't already, please try your hand at the europe in a box giveaway. it's nothing fancy... just a few small things from here and there.

anthropologie.

i am back! hopefully i'll be sharing a few photos here and there, and next up is a shopping list inspired by my trip.

but, for now, here are a few shoes i couldn't resist posting immediately.

all from anthro, natch.
