yellowgoat.

it absolutely kills me that i haven't visited this shop sooner.
i love everything about this, starting with that shoe.
THAT SHOE.
i'm partial to a good saddle shoe anyway, but THAT HEEL. i need that heel. ok, greedy girls, tell me where i can find them.
via we heart it.

brilliant.
i wish i'd receive mysterious things in the mail! bills lose their mystery over some time.
via simple song.
i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. i will!

if they'd just dip below the $100 mark, these puma damenwahls would be mine. i'm looking for a good, comfy shoe for europe, and these look like they would more than fit the bill. so why can't they be just a little bit more on sale?
this week's 'my take thursday' star is this ultra-cool-looking girl from the minneapoline. thought this was a great shot, loved the colors and realllly loved that hat. so, my take:
corso como jordan shoes | forever21 glasses | eugenia kim panama hat | wet seal woven belt | aerie ruffle coverup
if you missed the first installment, don't forget to check it out! this week's, admittedly, was a bit tougher than last time.

love and lilacs dress from modcloth | au pair maxi dress from modcloth | lovely at the luau dress from modcloth | coral drop-waist dress from miss selfridge | embroidered floral sundress from topshop
a couple years back, i was doing my regular blog thing and stumbled upon this girl by the sart. i was so blown away because i thought she looked exactly like me: the hair, the skin, the non-smile, the frump... everything!
i just thought it was so wild.
now that i wear glasses all the time (it's a wonder what they can do for eyesight) and experienced survived the hairtastrophe of '09, i'm having a bit more difficulty seeing it. it might be those extra pounds i've put on, though. it's always those extra pounds...
that's all for this segment of 'a glimpse into caroline's life.' stay tuned.
i need to stock up on a few more straw hats for the summer...these are from u.k.'s urban outfitters, but the u.s. site has more than a few to swoon over.
animal prints don't normally do it for me, but wow, this dress certainly does. and how about the other one? quite nice, i think.

wee little mustache by little t jane | blonde mustache keyring by majesty inc.
on a related note (ok it was the impetus behind the mustache post)... a funny read. hooray for mustache-free kisses!

it hit me tonight that i hadn't purchased a pair of shoes in a really, really, really long, depressing time. i've gotten really close to hitting 'place order' a couple times already but i am resisting. and it hurts so bad.
jessica bennett kosta | plv by pour la victorie patent loafer | volatile kendra sandal | seychelles babydoll
p.s. i'd really like to own these come fall. they just scream back to school. oh and these, too. no! it's summer! think summer thoughts.
these shoes (frye, of course) + this dress = perfection. maybe a little matchy matchy perfection. but perfection nonetheless.
via for me, for you.

yesterday i mentioned camp comfort's how i'd wear it series. well, today, you'll find my contribution!
the shorts totally reminded me of being a kid so i thought it was appropriate to channel the character that shaped my sartorial ways then (i was a 10-year-old child of the 70s): veda from my girl.
oh, and semi-related... now and then. oh how i loved those movies.
thank you so much, roberta jane, for including me in the fun, and welcome to camp comfort readers!
not only am i enamored by these dresses... i think that model just too cute with her red lips and messy hair.
something i've wanted to do for a while is start creating my own takes on street style shots i find particularly inspiring. i'll start with this one by none other than the the sartorialist. speaking of, maybe someone can explain governor's island to me. is it always so magical?
helmut lang silk twill shorts | jean paul gaultier striped halter* | prada canvas tote | forever21 sunglasses | adam gopnik's 'paris to the moon'** | fabio rusconi sandals
*halters for the most part don't win points with me. this one wins the points for all the rest of them.
**felt this was great as is. no change needed.
p.s. have y'all checked out camp comfort's how i'd wear it series? it features a single item chosen by roberta jane with other bloggers' takes on how they'd wear it (i bet you took that much from the name, though, right?). so far, so great.

this blog, my milk toof, puts a huge smile on my face.
this one is my favorite story.
via shiny squirrel.
was excited to find some skirts at target (left; $10) to rival the jersey pocket skirt (right; $30) at american apparel. while there aren't as many color options, i think the price more than makes up for that.
such a pretty kimono-style robe from plum pretty sugar.
via bobbin talk (have you been there yet? i recommend).

so this weekend i went to a gem trade show. i oohed and aahed over the pretty sparklies, and then i silently wept because the tiniest of stones cost so much.
and i thought of this ring.
ever since i saw this tourmaline beauty over at coco + kelley some months ago, it's been an object of my desire. and i still can't get over how pretty it is. love the big rock and tiny band.
let's all ooh and aah together now. sigh.
know of something i might like, have a product you'd like featured or just want to send me lovely things?
just e-mail me at cd@iamagreedygirl.com.
