whimsyville vintage.
my heart is breaking into a thousand sparkly little pieces for these shoes.

on a related note (ok it was the impetus behind the mustache post)... a funny read. hooray for mustache-free kisses!

it hit me tonight that i hadn't purchased a pair of shoes in a really, really, really long, depressing time. i've gotten really close to hitting 'place order' a couple times already but i am resisting. and it hurts so bad.

p.s. i'd really like to own these come fall. they just scream back to school. oh and these, too. no! it's summer! think summer thoughts.
these shoes (frye, of course) + this dress = perfection. maybe a little matchy matchy perfection. but perfection nonetheless.
via for me, for you.

yesterday i mentioned camp comfort's how i'd wear it series. well, today, you'll find my contribution!
the shorts totally reminded me of being a kid so i thought it was appropriate to channel the character that shaped my sartorial ways then (i was a 10-year-old child of the 70s): veda from my girl.
oh, and semi-related... now and then. oh how i loved those movies.
thank you so much, roberta jane, for including me in the fun, and welcome to camp comfort readers!
not only am i enamored by these dresses... i think that model just too cute with her red lips and messy hair.
something i've wanted to do for a while is start creating my own takes on street style shots i find particularly inspiring. i'll start with this one by none other than the the sartorialist. speaking of, maybe someone can explain governor's island to me. is it always so magical?
helmut lang silk twill shorts | jean paul gaultier striped halter* | prada canvas tote | forever21 sunglasses | adam gopnik's 'paris to the moon'** | fabio rusconi sandals
*halters for the most part don't win points with me. this one wins the points for all the rest of them.
**felt this was great as is. no change needed.
p.s. have y'all checked out camp comfort's how i'd wear it series? it features a single item chosen by roberta jane with other bloggers' takes on how they'd wear it (i bet you took that much from the name, though, right?). so far, so great.

this blog, my milk toof, puts a huge smile on my face.
this one is my favorite story.
via shiny squirrel.
was excited to find some skirts at target (left; $10) to rival the jersey pocket skirt (right; $30) at american apparel. while there aren't as many color options, i think the price more than makes up for that.
such a pretty kimono-style robe from plum pretty sugar.
via bobbin talk (have you been there yet? i recommend).

so this weekend i went to a gem trade show. i oohed and aahed over the pretty sparklies, and then i silently wept because the tiniest of stones cost so much.
and i thought of this ring.
ever since i saw this tourmaline beauty over at coco + kelley some months ago, it's been an object of my desire. and i still can't get over how pretty it is. love the big rock and tiny band.
let's all ooh and aah together now. sigh.

i really, REALLY love this soda bar idea of jordan ferney's.
normally, such variety would be out of my little okie hands, but thanks to my favorite make-out-of-town-guests-go-there place, pops, this idea is completely possible.
brooke reynolds of inchmark is showing off her beautiful collections this week at black*eiffel. check it out. i promise you'll be nothing short of amazed and every bit inspired.
certainly a sartorialist gem.
i can't even determine where the perfection ends and where it begins.

this shop should probably seriously consider sponsoring me. i promise i'd do you justice!
two things:
anouck lepere=adorable.
stella mccartney=puts out a pretty kick-ass collection.
via simple + pretty.
i am not kidding: i will be so bitterly angry if we heart it finally bit it. i had so many lovely photos there. stupid, i know, not to back them up in another way.
thanks, we heart it, for stealing our dreams!

photo via design is mine.
argh! i am cursing myself for spending too much at target yesterday. because...
gilt is offering up steven alan for some very nice prices today. what i'd do for that entire outfit on the left...
if you don't have a gilt account and would like one, here you go!
remember how you looked this cool when you were 16? oh yeah, i don't either.
above and below, the shirt of my dreams that cannot be found. anywhere.
on the left, cute as a button with my dream hair. on the right, she kills me with her cuteness. exactly how a 15-year-old should look (not that i'd ever pass judgment).
know of something i might like, have a product you'd like featured or just want to send me lovely things?
just e-mail me at cd@iamagreedygirl.com.
