happy monday.

today, i really feel like i need these. do you think they're too... rugged? because i really love them.

also, these and these (gladiator + hurache? hurrah).

but my heart still aches for this sweet blue pair.

also, a monday morning question. you've noticed the blog's been a little schizo lately. blog post titles here today, gone tomorrow, and back again. fewer 'go buy this now' posts and more 'isn't this photo lovely' posts. did you enjoy it more when the blog was more consumer-driven? i get kind of depressed blogging about store-bought things and have tried to venture into more inspiring things. is that ok with you? or should i go back to my greedy ways? tell me, readers, what do you think?

bees'netta.

i already mentioned the brilliance behind the bags of bees'netta (vintage designs and nomadic behavior!), but today i stumbled across the day labourer. and i positively adore it. and i might be saving up to make it my european carryall. what do you think? what color would i get?

slowly getting caught up on what i've missed this week...

on my to-buy-immediately list: pia bijkerk's paris: made by hand. [via sfgirlbybay]

barbara cole. [via simply photo]

dare i say boho perfection?

bari zaki. [via oh happy day]

a smart idea: mid-century modern bachelorette getaway.

really, really cool.

le sigh. [via pigeon.toed]

chanel no. 5 mini film featuring audrey tatou and directed by jean-pierre jeunet. [via black*eiffel and the entire blogosphere]

a pretty picture for you.

will be back to regular posting soon. i have a neck thing and could use some 'sixteen candles'-strength muscle relaxants if anyone's got any.

via here.

so hopefully none of you has noticed that i've been so busy lately, i've just gone to etsy and picked the first cute thing i saw.

case in point for today. could make for some really great cake toppers.

i'll try to be back soon with some actual discoveries.

today is a day for this.

via mrs. french.

now i am going to go back to sleep. many thanks to the new downstairs neighbor who left delilah (yes) on all night long for his dog.

kind of sweet.

charlie bartlett. obsessed with it.

also obsessed with a kid six years my junior. can you blame me?

kelly at design crush recently started a 3 to see series, which has introduced some new-to-me faves every friday.

she was kind enough to include greedy girl in the honors two weeks ago, and i was beyond excited. i like being honored!

i recommend you check it out! and, thanks again kelly.

happy may day!

would really, really love to have this from a alicia.

on a similar note, katie did posted a tutorial for the unbelievable flower collars she did for her daughters. as usual, my mind is blown. (i tell her a lot i am obsessed with her lovely family and her super talents and their sweet brooklyn life, and it is completely true. i hope i am not creepy. hm.)

one of my favorites.

still busy. i'll be back to chatty soon.

i would die if these belonged to me. i love that she's not afraid to wear them.

(this blog will make you hate your job, your shoes and the people who have the job you should have and the shoes you should own. thanks to k at blog goggles, who with one blog post has me re-evaluating my entire life.)

enjoy, thanks to darling, darling.

it's a busy week for me, but i can at least provide you some colorful eye candy.

oh lauren moffatt, i want it all.

i like... i really, really like. was really getting tired of hand lettering. until now.

rifle design via party perfect.

[edited to add: ok, i thought i'd clarify... i don't hate hand lettering. i really love it, and i'm excited to see a resurgence. i'm just getting tired of all the ultra-cutesie hipster stuff. i just wanted to throw that in there so no one started to think i was a satanist or something.]

keep calm and love pugs... i love it.

thanks to miss vu for the tip!

kenneth cole reaction; belle by sigerson morrison; seychelles; clarks.

p.s. who thinks they could take these on?

one more bathing suit for the day, this time from hayden-harnett.

via camp comfort.

p.s. joanna posted about retro bathing suits over at her smitten blog, and i was appalled at how many people shunned the look in favor of G-STRINGS. yes, g-strings. now, i don't judge, but come on, people. if you don't live in south beach, don't wear a g-string. thoughts?

i love the circus... the colors, the crazies, the cotton candy.

so i imagine my delight when suzie of bees'netta got in touch and introduced her shop (especially this bag) to my little circus-free world. her work is inspired by "vintage designs and nomadic behaviors." i love that.

thanks, suzie, for sharing... i love what you're doing.

and, also, this photo is pretty stellar. and i don't just call anything stellar.

if i could... well, i would have already. the crisscross back at the top may be the sweetest thing ever.

ms. kamali, you do fine work.

gray leather is really catching my eye lately. or, in this case, faux gray leather from matt & nat.

the top is down to $158 from $325 on gilt today, if anyone's interested. the second is $128, down from $255.

nice! and nice for the earth, too!

love this clutch from tara's single charm vintage etsy shop.

a perfect size, too.

i will be going to belgium (and paris!) in july and, while it is three months away, i'm already packing in my head. it's my first trip to europe so i am beyond excited.

joanna already started the shoe discussion, from which i've gained a lot of insight. but what is really troubling me is clothes.

obviously i don't want to stick out as an american (an okie, at that) but i also don't want to attempt the dark-and-brooding-european act either.

my tentative plan is to play it classic & cool with dark skinny jeans and black t-shirts. that kind of look.

what do you think? let's start the discussion on the one great eternal question...

how do i dress like a french woman*?

*or man, as the boyfriend would surely appreciate tips, too.

photo, of course, by the sart.

this looks so cozy and sweet. but something tells me it wouldn't drape quite so elegantly on me.

campbell dress and annie leather bag... things i'd love to own from the renneslechateau etsy shop.
