enjoy, thanks to darling, darling.
it's a busy week for me, but i can at least provide you some colorful eye candy.
i like... i really, really like. was really getting tired of hand lettering. until now.
rifle design via party perfect.
[edited to add: ok, i thought i'd clarify... i don't hate hand lettering. i really love it, and i'm excited to see a resurgence. i'm just getting tired of all the ultra-cutesie hipster stuff. i just wanted to throw that in there so no one started to think i was a satanist or something.]
keep calm and love pugs... i love it.
thanks to miss vu for the tip!

kenneth cole reaction; belle by sigerson morrison; seychelles; clarks.
p.s. who thinks they could take these on?
one more bathing suit for the day, this time from hayden-harnett.
via camp comfort.
p.s. joanna posted about retro bathing suits over at her smitten blog, and i was appalled at how many people shunned the look in favor of G-STRINGS. yes, g-strings. now, i don't judge, but come on, people. if you don't live in south beach, don't wear a g-string. thoughts?
so i imagine my delight when suzie of bees'netta got in touch and introduced her shop (especially this bag) to my little circus-free world. her work is inspired by "vintage designs and nomadic behaviors." i love that.
thanks, suzie, for sharing... i love what you're doing.
and, also, this photo is pretty stellar. and i don't just call anything stellar.
if i could... well, i would have already. the crisscross back at the top may be the sweetest thing ever.
ms. kamali, you do fine work.
the top is down to $158 from $325 on gilt today, if anyone's interested. the second is $128, down from $255.
nice! and nice for the earth, too!

love this clutch from tara's single charm vintage etsy shop.
a perfect size, too.
i will be going to belgium (and paris!) in july and, while it is three months away, i'm already packing in my head. it's my first trip to europe so i am beyond excited.
joanna already started the shoe discussion, from which i've gained a lot of insight. but what is really troubling me is clothes.
obviously i don't want to stick out as an american (an okie, at that) but i also don't want to attempt the dark-and-brooding-european act either.
my tentative plan is to play it classic & cool with dark skinny jeans and black t-shirts. that kind of look.
what do you think? let's start the discussion on the one great eternal question...
how do i dress like a french woman*?
*or man, as the boyfriend would surely appreciate tips, too.
photo, of course, by the sart.
this looks so cozy and sweet. but something tells me it wouldn't drape quite so elegantly on me.

campbell dress and annie leather bag... things i'd love to own from the renneslechateau etsy shop.
speaking of springtime...
i want to live in marc loret's world, don't you?
the kind mr. loret has offered a special deal to greedy girl readers. enter 'i love greedy girl' during your purchase, and you can choose another photo of the same size for free!
merci beaucoup, marc loret!
FINALLY i think spring is starting to kick in for good here in oklahoma city. thunderstorms last night and sing-songy birds tonight and more thunderstorms tomorrow.
now that it's time, wouldn't you love to own a pair of these sweet puddle stompers?
well... now you're 15 percent closer when you use code "greedygirlrocks" (so true) at plueys.
this origami pair is my favorite, but tokyo rain comes in at a close second.
p.s. check out these tinies for the little ones.
p.p.s. thank you, plueys, for the generous offer! it is good through oct. 2... and just one per customer, greedy girls!
problem: i'm not going to the races anytime soon. any ideas?
shameless self-promotion to follow...
perhaps you are in the market for a new job? or a little work on the side? or maybe you just want to pay me to do something extraordinary for you?
well, you're in luck. i kind of really happen to like designing and writing resumes. rates are low ($20 for design, $30 for design + writing), and i'll provide you with a handy little pdf so you can print your little heart out.
please e-mail for details.
photo here.
if you haven't already...
watch. watch now.
via jo.
and, um, the third song? this caroline girl clearly has got some style. oh and she might also be a stunning bride.
i am not planning a wedding, but if ever i do, i want to be just like her.
i'm certain this print would put a smile on my face day after day.
if you haven't already, you should check out christine berrie's work. all of it would be so lovely famed on a desk for inspiration, say, for photographers.
p.s. this is the mini of my dreams. one day my beloved mini pearl will have an older, handsome mate like this. this one is pretty fantastic, too.
i think the etsy shop tush tush might have made the rounds a couple weeks ago. but i keep thinking it'd so be so charming to have a bunch of pieces done of close family members that could all be framed for one little spot in your house.
would you do it?
i'd love to have one of these tied to a gift, wouldn't you?
from orange beautiful.
no, not dead. had some sleeping to do this weekend. did that. i'll get back in the speed of things soon.
i think.
in the meantime... finding art that's extremely horizontal is not easy. but i quite like this piece from little paper planes. isn't it lovely?
it's back to work today, unfortunately. and this weekend, too, even more unfortunately.
but, here's what the rest of you should be doing this easter weekend... relaxing! have a great one, all!

he continually kills me with his work.
can you tell i am not working today? instead of all this blogging, i should be out enjoying the weather. it's beautiful but horrifically windy. i hate wind.
photo from nubby twiglet.
love from fifi lapin... such a fun new take on her signature illustrations, and featuring my latest obsession, paris.
via oh joy!
if you haven't already downloaded your fifi lapin desktop, here you go.

people who rock my world?
among them, sofia coppola. she apparently is the photographer behind this beloved kirsten dunst photo (you may remember the hair cut from my ill-fated attempt at recreating it) and this lovely shot of leighton meester*.
and that card? perfection, i'd say. the last photo, of course, is from the marc jacobs parfum campaign from a couple years back, shot by juergen teller, who i thought had been the one behind that kirsten photo. guess not! happy to have found all this via funambula, my newest go-to site for eye candy.
p.s. who knew sofia was behind this canned champagne? call it what you want, but i'm kind of a fan.
*what is the deal with all these gossip girl breaks? did they really just show the episode from two weeks ago? it's like the writers' strike all over again. speaking of, am i the only who thought it was kind of way hot that chuck and vanessa hooked up?

what i wouldn't do for this hair (oh, and that really amazing head piece).
such rich photos from vogue india.
thanks, love made visible... always inspiring.

so my mom has her heart set on a family trip/genealogical quest to belgium at the end of the summer.
yes, belgium... perhaps the most obscure country in europe? my knowledge does not go further than waffles, chocolate, trappist beer, NATO and brussels griffons.
i don't doubt that it's beautiful and interesting and historical. but it's just hard for me to imagine because there's no an american in antwerp or bridget janssen's' diary.
who can tell me more?
photo from mgineering.
my boyfriend and i are planning (hoping, praying, wishing) to get to new york this summer. it's been far too long. we've never been together, and i've always wanted to experience new york in love! i imagine it's just like in the movies.
this nyc souvenir from brooklynrehab was found via unruly things (yeah, again). i know pigeons are the scum of the earth, rats of the sky, whatever... but i really, really kind of like them. such city birds. dirty little city birds.
ah, another pretty frock. this time, from heidi merrick.
via unruly things.
la la la la love this wishful thinking (indeed!) dress from sunday brunch dress shop.

these planters from greenwaredesign are pretty outstanding*.
handcrafted ceramic hanging planter made from loafer's glory clay, then glazed a butter cream. each comes with a tillandsia, nestled in a bed of moss and a jute cord for hanging.
wouldn't you love to have one hanging at your place?
*i'm tired of using words like lovely or pretty or beautiful or stunning. so i'm using outstanding tonight.

and the lucky winner of the pepper kids giveaway is...
jennifer gantt!
thank you all for playing, and please stay tuned for more fun freebies.
also, big thanks to meenu of the pepper kids for her generosity and making this possible.
jennifer, e-mail me, and we'll get you set up.
2) i kind of need this whole collection.
3) many thanks to lindsay for turning me on to jackson, johnston & roe.
