ah, another pretty frock. this time, from heidi merrick.
via unruly things.
la la la la love this wishful thinking (indeed!) dress from sunday brunch dress shop.

these planters from greenwaredesign are pretty outstanding*.
handcrafted ceramic hanging planter made from loafer's glory clay, then glazed a butter cream. each comes with a tillandsia, nestled in a bed of moss and a jute cord for hanging.
wouldn't you love to have one hanging at your place?
*i'm tired of using words like lovely or pretty or beautiful or stunning. so i'm using outstanding tonight.

and the lucky winner of the pepper kids giveaway is...
jennifer gantt!
thank you all for playing, and please stay tuned for more fun freebies.
also, big thanks to meenu of the pepper kids for her generosity and making this possible.
jennifer, e-mail me, and we'll get you set up.
2) i kind of need this whole collection.
3) many thanks to lindsay for turning me on to jackson, johnston & roe.
so, i would kill to wear these looks from the newly launched harvey faircloth, which i discovered (my heart truly skipped a beat) on co-creator abby clawson low's hi + low. i can't wait to see the looks up close.
i couldn't not share this from their site:
... swimming in the sea of clothing that is the world of apparel, the three friends could never find quite what they wanted to wear. they noticed that all the best clothing appeared on anna karina in the films of godard. or on julie christie in the films of hal ashby. or in photos of their grandmothers eating cucumber sandwiches on patios in 1965. ...
can i be in love with three ladies and their perfect words and their pretty clothes all at the same time? it seems so. smart girls after my heart and my paycheck.
i've always been enamored by paris.
but ever since i downloaded an app for my phone that shows this on my background constantly, i haven't been able to stop thinking about it. joe gets to hear about it a lot now too.
look, joe! there are clouds in paris!
look! the sun is going down! just like it does here!
paris is beautiful, joe. the most beautiful city in the world, joe.
look at that building! they turned off the light!
when do you think those people will come out on the balcony, joe?
hey joe, wake up! the sun is coming up in paris!
if i lived there, i would be on the balcony all the time. wouldn't you, joe?
they turned out the lights on the eiffel tower, joe! how outrageous! the lights! off!
it's really giving me the traveling itch. actually, it's more like the sell-everything-and-move-to-paris itch.
joanna just said some nice things about this book, which is on my to-buy list next time i'm at the bookstore. or maybe i'll take a trip to the library today.
maybe i'll just have to take this plane to paris for the time being.
do you have any other ideas for tiding me over until i can make the real trip? i'd like to put french lessons on my to-do list, and maybe some pastry classes. anything else? books? music (i love french pop)? movies?
p.s. check out these paris photos from uncle beefy. so pretty.

who else can't wait?
but not before you see the real one.
and oh how i wish i could have seen it on broadway.
sigh sigh sigh.
i remember seeing these awesome bags before and loving the metallic leather. but i just don't think i ever posted about them.
until now. if i ever have money again, this is the first thing i'll buy.
also, this model chick has an amazing wardrobe, from what i can tell.

loving this print from sfgirlbybay.

no surprise here, but the new bailey doesn't bark collection is amazingly lovely.
i'd love a complete set. or even just the cereal bowl. i think it could transform my mornings.
you can get 25 percent off with the dailycandy deals code CANDY25. yum!
i really hate ripping off spaceball.gifs, but i really really wanted to share these because i loved them so.
the designer (who, from what i can tell, is called 9000) also has a very fancy web site that is fun to click around.
p.s. enter my giveaway if you haven't already.
as i said over at fashion is spinach, i think this might top my list of things to see before i die.
what's on your list?
a good morning afternoon giveaway! this time, a special designers guild contest from the pepper kids.
you may remember a couple weeks back when i was lucky enough to win a pair of smoky quartz earrings? well, now the very generous shop is giving you a chance at the love.
mother's day is coming up... maybe it's time to start shopping? here's a look at some of offerings from the designers guild bedding & bath line.
union square flat sheets; margot cushions in rose and duck egg; candles in limeflower and peony.
and, something for kids (or, me... i'm really fond of that cushion):
hampstead heath duvet; elephant and castle duvet; hampstead heath apple cushion.
chic and springy and pretty all-around fabulous, right? now, feast your eyes on these pillows and tell me you don't want a shot at winning one:

the rules are simple... AND you can enter up to three times:
hop over to facebook (greedy girl loves technology!) and become a fan of the pepper kids. then leave a comment back here saying you did so.
good luck, and happy spring!
p.s. if you have any questions, please just leave a comment. i'll delete all the non-entries before we select a winner.
but instead of the amazing kirsten cut i had for so long admired, i got the blagojevich. at times, it would morph into the becky-from-roseanne. but never did it ever resemble kirsten's.
it was the worst haircut i've ever gotten. my hair was puffy. really puffy. and i have ultra-fine blonde hair that is incapable of puff.
in my 26 years, i have never regretted a haircut. mostly because i don't care that much. but boy do i rue the day i stepped foot into that salon.
for the past few couple months, i've been super-obsessive about growing my hair out. vitamins, upped water intake, horse shampoo, lots of head massage, no more blow-drying... everything i can think of.
i read a week or so ago on hey susy about her experience with kent combs and brushes. has anyone had any super-healthy hair luck with those?
or, can you recommend anything that's helped you?
i've already vowed to grow out my hair nice and long, so i appreciate any tips on how to get there. patience, i know. but anything else?
photo here.
new york & company is one of those places that never really catches my eye. somehow it's even more boring than the limited, and i can't quite get past that.
but i like do like these things — so fresh and so bright! especially that dress.
the fuschia top and awesome belt could be playing a trick on my eyes, but this is the first time i've really thought wow! i should wear harem pants.
what are your thoughts? not for everyone?
this pair from anthropologie seems like it'd be pretty forgiving so i might finally be ready to give it a shot.
it's a good thing for my joe that gene kelly is no longer living, or he'd have some serious competition. i really might be in love. but not as in love as i am with joe, of course.
cutest photo ever via we heart it.
somebody please snatch up this necklace from imogene and dannie's etsy shop so i no longer have the opportunity to buy it.
via oh joy.
my brilliant friend holly has gone and turned her love of color into a blog, creative holly color. she plans to feature color portraits of her favorite creatives, and i can't wait to see more.
though it goes without saying, i'm honored to be a part of it. thank you, holly, for profiling me!
my heart stopped for these calling cards by invited ink.

genius. and beautiful as always, by simplesongdesigns.
love affair with luxe paperie.
snow & graham... i can order this for myself, right?
natalie eden... i hope you'll notice the glitter around the edges.
hello! lucky... love that little moustache!
peculiar pair press... those colors! that pattern!
wiley valentine... so pretty!
i might feel the need to blow my entire yearly shoe budget on a bunch of these summery styles from marais.
where to start?
eggplant irving
chestnut mulberry
emerald perry
red prince
