i completely forgot to mention that a long, long time ago (november! time flies!), i was lucky enough to win this skirt by martha of uniform studio. (if you didn't see, the skirt happened to grace the cover of stitch magazine and, if you didn't already know, is in my favorite colorway.)
annnyway, i think holiday madness got the best of martha (and, me too, for that matter), and i haven't received it yet, which has been fine since the weather's been awful.
but now! the weather's warming up, and i can't wait to slip it on.

update! the skirt came today, and it couldn't have found a better day to arrive. it's beautiful and sunny and warm. the skirt is even prettier than i had hoped, and my day is made! thank you, martha!
a lot of the time i feel like my insatiable desire for pretty things is a really big character flaw.
then, wonderful things like this happen, and that really big character flaw really pays off.
