shoes, please.

it hit me tonight that i hadn't purchased a pair of shoes in a really, really, really long, depressing time. i've gotten really close to hitting 'place order' a couple times already but i am resisting. and it hurts so bad.

p.s. i'd really like to own these come fall. they just scream back to school. oh and these, too. no! it's summer! think summer thoughts.

Oh, I love all of these (maybe not the green ones though)! They are so bright and colorful and perfect.
ReplyDeleteoooh, love the last pair the most! so preppy.

the first pair are so menswear inspired. love it! even in the summertime with a pair of shorts, they'd be perfect.
ReplyDeletefall clothing is a little more versatile (at least where i live), plus, those booties are gorgeous! go for it.
ReplyDeletewhoa. those volatile heels are A.MAZ.ING.
ReplyDeletep.s. i loved your outfit on camp comfort! i'm so glad roberta introduced me to your blog. it rules.
I love the volatile heels. And the Seychelles are SO me, I think I just have to have them. :-)

Part of me wants to love the rainbow shoes, but another part of me thinks, "What if everyone thinks I'm a lesbian?"
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why it would bother me, but rainbows have become a symbol for gay pride, and I'm not sure I can wear shoes like that without thinking my feet have come out of the closet. (Not that I have anything against gay people, just the fact that they hijacked my rainbows...)
actually, jenn, i alllllmost rationalized buying the rainbow shoes by telling myself i'd wear them to my city's annual gay pride weekend. then i realized that was an absolutely silly reason to buy shoes.
ReplyDeletei'm oddly drawn to that second seafoam green pair. i feel like i need them, but i already dress like a dude so those would probably make me look like an old man.
ReplyDeletewho cares if you wear rainbows and people think you're gay? i cut my hair short and now i get hit on by cute girls all over sf...and they buy me free cocktails. i giggle, say thank you, and tell them i've been married for 7 years. life without rainbows is dull.
ReplyDeleteThe mint loafers for me, please.
