oh wow.

obviously this would qualify for my 25 under $25 calendar post coming this weekend (WITH the greedy girl gift guide), but i couldn't wait to share.

i think you'll see why.

lizard press via poppytalk handmade (a great source for calendars if you haven't yet started your looking).

p.s. it's not too late to sign up for the great 2008 greedy girl calendar swap. do it. like now.

calendar swap reminder and 25 under $25.

ok, guys, if you haven't yet joined the great 2008 greedy girl calendar swap, you're really missing out. well, you haven't yet, but you'll really regret it come jan. 1 and you don't know what to do with yourself.

we've got 28 lucky swappers registered so far.

come join the fun. go there, read the directions, send me an e-mail and, voila!, you're signed up for the gift that keeps on giving all year long.

p.s. the gift guide has been delayed and will be out no later than sunday. ALLLLSO, watch out for 25 under $25... a fun roundup of fun calendars that would make great calendar swap calendars.

christmas sale at locher's.

even though she totally flaked on an interview i had set up and thoughtfully wrote out, i still pretty much adore dirty little nicole locher and her clever wares.

i won't go into detail on her sweet little embroidered messages because my grandma always seems to get wind of it whenever i drop the f-bomb (what would she do if her friends saw! yes, greedy girl's huge in the octogenarian circles).

go find out for yourself.

while you're there, pick me up something pretty because she's having a christmas sale right now. hell, you can probably afford to pick up a couple for me at those prices.

to give you an idea, i'm also loving this one because i was notorious for saying it as a kid. well, minus that whole f-word thing. most of the time. yeah, i was an enjoyable child.

read more on lady locher here. i've been a fan for a while.

and, nicole, you're lucky you're so adorable and talented (and that your model's so cute and your web site so brilliant), and that i am so forgiving.

boots. gray boots.

ok, i think it's safe to say i'll have the gift guide out on friday. so stay tuned!

p.s. if you haven't yet signed up for calendar swap, do so right this second! also, i'd appreciate anyone who spreads the word about it on their blog!

p.p.s. great boots, no?

wow.

ok, i'm trying to put together my gift guides BUT i couldn't wait a second to post this.

i. love. it.

well done, wendy brandes. well done.

dear santa...

green, please.

enjoy!

i really, really love, especially that little spider at the bottom.

leanne marshall update!

check out leanne marhsall's pretty new (redesigned) site. shiny and, as always, breathtaking.

can't wait for that online shop to open!

charlie harper!

i want to snag this charlie harper memory game for all the kids i know. all two of them.

via armelle.

introducing ...

[ed note: i've had a great turnout so far (33 so far!), but i'll be extending the deadline to join til the end of the day tuesday. so sign up now!]

here's how it'll work:

you have until nov. 30 to e-mail me your name, blog and home address.

i'll get back in touch with you by dec. 3 and give you your swapmate's deets.

then you just find a calendar (between $20 and $25 in value; sorry, gals – no mall kiosk kitten calendars but handmade is always welcome) and send it to your swapmate by dec. 20. just in time for the holidays and the new year!

sound good? i'll set up a spot on flickr where we can all upload our fantastic new pretties!

if you've got any questions, please leave a comment and i'll answer asap (but don't forget to e-mail me to join the swap).

so thanks to the always enchanting joanna goddard (um girlfriend got engaged if you hadn't heard!), i've found a couple i just really want to marry. or at least be the really creepy neighbor who offers to water their plants way too much.

the couple (she wore a wonderful headpiece on her wedding day) happen to be pretty talented designers, and they've just launched a shop.

i really love this poster for black kids, except i felt pretty lame for never having heard them.

so i popped right over to trusty old myspace*, and guess what? they sound pretty good.

so now i can purchase the print without being a poseur, right?

*be greedy girl's friend on my space. greedy girl is very lonely there.

post me. (plus a very important p.s.)

i think i deserve this. i'm not entirely sure why. but i bet i do.

but why bother plating the snap with gold if the bag's just pvc?

via design is mine.

p.s. stay tuned tomorrow when i'll announce a super surprise that will be fun for all.

p.p.s. stay tuned next week for the third annual (eek i've got to stop this blogging business) greedy girl gift guide. in the meantime, visit last year's and the year before that one.

pretty for christmas.
pretty for a bride.
pretty for me.

hawk eye.

finally on their way. thank god. i was about to throw my regular pair on the ground and smash them into bits. but they cost too much. the new pair, on the other hand? $25, including rx lenses and shipping. nice.

next up? i'm really tempted by these:

things i like today.

don't you just love cloth invite and save-the-date tea towel?

a screenprinted handkerchief would even be cute. come to our wedding and cry all over this!

the poster list.

head over to how about orange and enter to win two posters from the poster list!

these are my two faves.

and, speaking of the city, go listen to 'leave the city' by magnolia electric company. good fall listening there.

makool really does love you.

pretty much really need this.

oh, and i'll take the hair too.

look who's tops!

thanks to oklahoma today magazine for the shout-out in their november issue! little ol' me, best in oklahoma? nah, you're too kind.

also, i don't want to toot my own horn or anything, but i was pretty excited ecstatic when LEANNE MARSHALL (um yeah THAT leanne marshall) visited my blog and left a comment. prettttty much made my day week month. not only is she a design god, girlfriend's got her pr skills down, too! next thing you know, barack will be all up in here.

anyway, i WAS pretty jazzed until that that bitch (i kid, i kid!) winona from daddy likey stole my thunder. apparently she has just been gabbing up a storm with ms. marshall. yeah, winona? well, you'll get yours.

p.s. here's leanne being adorable on craig ferguson (secret crush o' mine).

best use of your time EVER.

puppies!

(no, it's not the natalie portman/rashida jones video, though that's probably also worth a watch.)

enjoy the fall days! i am.

hi, gang. just wanted to leave y'all with something pretty. the next few days are pretty packed with really fun things like work, but some regular posting should resume soon.

somehow my spirits have lifted exponentially since tuesday night. am i the only one?

via this is glamorous.

p.s. if you haven't already watched this again this week, do it. you'll find goosebumps you never knew you had.
