so thanks to the always enchanting joanna goddard (um girlfriend got engaged if you hadn't heard!), i've found a couple i just really want to marry. or at least be the really creepy neighbor who offers to water their plants way too much.
the couple (she wore a wonderful headpiece on her wedding day) happen to be pretty talented designers, and they've just launched a shop.
i really love this poster for black kids, except i felt pretty lame for never having heard them.
so i popped right over to trusty old myspace*, and guess what? they sound pretty good.
so now i can purchase the print without being a poseur, right?
*be greedy girl's friend on my space. greedy girl is very lonely there.
finally on their way. thank god. i was about to throw my regular pair on the ground and smash them into bits. but they cost too much. the new pair, on the other hand? $25, including rx lenses and shipping. nice.

happy halloween, all. favorite of all holidays.
this week was supposed to be filled with pumpkin and candy bliss but instead it's been all snotty pillowcases and nyquil. and vomiting all over my poor boyfriend's bedroom.
no fantastical costumes or caramel apples.
not even a halloween office party.
just a bed of violated kleenex. and me.
to be fair, it's only 11 p.m. on all hallows' eve and i've been awake for a whole 3 hours (a pretty big improvement over the last few days, including the days i was at work), so there's still a chance to save halloween.
but, by god, did i screw it up this year. best i did was buy an autumn harvest candle from wal-mart.
i've really let myself down.
