which came first?

this is so cute and makes me wish i had some cute kid to throw it into their easter basket.

speaking of which, when the hell is easter? everytime i walk into target, i get the impression that it's just minutes away and i freak out momentarily.

anyway. these are pretty cute, no?

[p.s. sorry about any crazy or erratic posting behavior. my neighbor's wifi disappeared, and i'm now forced to rely on a tiny and unreliable signal from a fraternity house a couple blocks away. and even then, i can only get it when i'm upstairs and in bed. so please forgive, and we'll keep our fingers crossed that neighbor gets his signal up and running. or maybe it's a sign from above that it's really most definitely time to move?]

what fun these shower curtains (yes, shower curtains) are.

dear, dear.

i'm much more a fan of a graphic or oversized tote than i am a 'traditional' purse-like bag (by the way, for some reason, i'm not big on the word purse.)

i got this the other day as a gift, and i think it's so fantastically fun. my favorite part is what i perceive to be the phabulously phallic background (but it could be just me and that mind of mine).

let's do the time warp.

we're going to play a little game called what caroline wanted a year ago.

it seemed like a good idea when i revisited this post from last year. i thought 'wow, these are still quite pretty.' i clicked, and oh my god they were on sale for $20 (regularly $68)! ...

and sold out. so i missed that opportunity, but that's ok.

i just wanted to put these pretty panties back in the minds of everyone. i am truly sorry, though, that they're all gone.

i'm going to try to intersperse some what was i wanting back then kind of posts in with the new ones. it seems i found some unbelievably great things, and i'm not having that kind of luck these days.

unattainable pretty panties from figleaves.com.

p.s. i'm looking for some fun sewing crafty blogs for inspiration. please share!

and it begins again.

aight. i had a few 'i suck at sewing, therefore i suck at life' moments this evening, but, after a long bath spent contemplating my perceived suckiness, i decided to take another stab at a caroline renewal.

i try to do so every few months but it never really goes as planned.

so i am officially kickstarting caroline renewal, part one, of '07 (to coincide with the upcoming start of spring, you see).

i'll spare you the details but it essentially entails getting my shit together (this means some thorough reorganization of home, finances and life, really).

so, along that vein, i bring you this handy little book in which to keep track of all your usernames and passwords (i personally find all that a bitch to remember).

finally... fresh air.

the new album from air was released this week, and you know my thoughts on europop, especially of the french variety.

i haven't yet heard the entire album, but i expect it to be – as they say in france – triphoptastique.

check it (and others) out at the site (which i'll add is quite nice).

read the fine print.

ok, i was thisclose to calling it a night and getting to sleep. then i stumbled across this site and fell in crazy love.

not because the site is so charming and cute but also because it makes me ridiculously envious of the mastermind behind the label.

[sidenote: she seems adorable! do see. also, the model is so cute with her pin-curly hair and short red nails. i want to be her.]

so, locher's... it's so saccharinely subversive, therefore one of my all-time favorite greedy girl finds.

keep calm.

the pink is sold out, but they have three new colors to choose from. i still like the pink. i'd hang it in the dressing room that is yet to be established to mellow me out in those moments of panic when i realize i have nothing to wear.

from the site...

jellyfish = beach = summer, please.

this has to be the cutest necklace i've seen in a while. definitely not your typical bird, horseshoe or deer pendant.

thank you to shani for the tip. this site is full of some beautiful things. [about the bike: it's just a cruiser that's sold pretty much anywhere in the states. i'm not familiar with what you've got in the uk, but here's a rundown of where they're sold.]

sorry...

to have disappeared on everyone.

i was crazy busy this week (by this, i mean work and sleep consumed much of my time). i'll be in dallas for the weekend, hopefully getting my shop on, so i'll report back bright and early monday morning. ...or sometime in the afternoon or late late that night. you'll see.

summer, please hurry.

i'm working on my male fanbase with these vs posts, you see.

i'm a big fan of this suit. it's very similar to the dkny suit i had last summer that didn't see nearly enough play. this one is tempting, though. i'd choose black.

springtime = bike time.

i've searched high and low (bike aisle of target) for a cute basket for my bike, and now i've found one.

i would throw my dog (this is all hypothetical) and a loaf of bread in the basket and ride about, like i live in paris.

my bike is blue. and i like this green. and i like how the green really wouldn't make any sense on the blue bike. i like that.

this is my bike, by the way. it is cute.
