i know we're just a few days into winter but now that christmas is over, my mind is on the spring. and, for me, spring means skirts. so, with my shiny new sewing machine (yay! a christmas present!), i plan to spend my weekeneds sewing up cute little skirts and bags.
but, until i can get this crazy stitching stuff down, i will look forward to this (which would go beautifully with these).

because terrorists are funny. and because crocheted terrorists are even funnier.
and, now that i've just been added to the terror watch list, i think it's safe to say this:
i think mahmoud ahmadinejad is the cutest of all the religious zealots.

you remember when i promised a gift guide, right?
well, i was really planning to do that until it occurred to me that the 500+ posts that so far make up this sad little blog are, truly, a gift guide in and of themselves.
so, tonight, instead of the gift of a promise kept, i'm here to tell you...
...you're welcome.
this is me opting to shop in tonight rather than braving the stores.
have i accomplished anything? no.

sorry about the shitty res on that teacup. i got frustrated and gave up on fixing it. anyway... IF anthro had dinner plates for this setting, i would totally be sold because i'm already in love with what they do have (this teacup setting and dessert plates). any ideas on if or where i could dinner plates?
anthropologie, $7.95-$29.95

i spied this coffee maker tonight in target, and it was insta-love.

ok, i just completely skipped the holiday gift-giving and -receiving excitement and went right on to the 'let's play dress up' excitement i'm typically more prone to around the holidays.
i am, for whatever reason, drawn to soft, furry things that i never will actually wear because of that 'oh yeah this animal was brutally killed and skinned for my vanity' moral conflict. [i do my best to block out all the thoughts of the poor animals whose hides adorn my feet and shoulder.]
but i could pull off this pretty stole from banana guilt-free, and i like that.

spent the weekend in cape cod and had the very best time. had a hard time getting out of here thanks to a freak blizzard, an intrastate snow adventure and lots of airport chaos. but i made it and want to be back there right this second.

... i promised a gift guide, and i swear more is to come.
know of something i might like, have a product you'd like featured or just want to send me lovely things?
just e-mail me at cd@iamagreedygirl.com.
